An accessory was a person that was an assistant in a crime, but didn't commit the crime themselves. For example, the driver of a getaway car could be considered an accessory.
Wendy Harris, who along with Marvin White and Wonder Dog, was present with Doctor LeBon and Wilbur when they were about to steal the London diamond, and she was concerned that they would end up being charged as accessories to their crime.[2]
