Ageism

Wendy explains to Marvin that adults will do anything to try and close the "generation gap" between kids and adults,[1] so that they couldn't be accused of ageism.

Ageism or age discrimination is the stereotyping and discrimination of people because of their age. While trying to convince three tycoons to listen to reason in regards to a terrorist named Doctor Pelagian, Wendy told Marvin that a big part of the problem between kids and adults is the generation gap. And she assumed that because they are kids, they would listen to them so as to try and close that gap, because they wouldn't want to be guilty of age discrimination.

Once Batman and Robin were going to meet with Doctor Shamon, but they made Marvin and Wendy stay behind. Marvin tells Wendy that adults think that kids can't do anything. He goes on to say that he's going to start a "Kids lib" movement.[2]
