Marvin explains that Wonder Dog has an almond allergy[1]
An allergy is a medical condition in which someone reacts negatively toward certain things, whether plant or animal or whatever. Some people's immune system is not as tolerable to certain things, whereas another person would have no allergic reaction to anything. Often times when someone has allergies they sneeze.
Marvin's pet dog named Wonder Dog had an allergic reaction to almonds. And whenever he'd smell it, he would go into a sneezing fit.
