A backhoe was a type of construction tractor that was designed to dig and scoop up dirt.
When Superman used the FRERP solvent on the objects made of FRERP, G.R.E.P.S. sent out a team of workers to pick up the remaining raw plastic with construction vehicles. Among the vehicles was a backhoe.[2]
