Cargo net

Cargo net.[1]

A cargo net is a type of net. It is usually square or rectangle, but sometimes round, made of thick rope, with cinch ropes extending from the corners, and in some designs, the edges. It is named for its use in transferring cargo to and from ships.

When the Super Friends were in the Hall of Justice reviewing all of the incidents that had occurred with the Balunians since they had arrived on Earth, Superman says: "A cargo net,[2] a sea suction tube...it keeps adding up: Someone is trying to capture the Krim family." We can only assume that Superman spoke in error, and he actually meant to say anchor instead of cargo net, because Noah Tall and Twisty never used a cargo net.[3]

  2. Interestingly enough, the criminals, Noah Tall and Twisty, that were attempting to kidnap the Krim family, never used a cargo net, but they did use an anchor. This leads one to believe if in the original script a cargo net was used, but for whatever reason (possibly lack of a budget for the needed animation?) it was left out, and replaced by an anchor. Then it was forgotten to replace Superman's "cargo net" line. This is merely speculation though.
