The dragon-like beasts were a dragon-like species native to the Rubberoid Homeworld.
One dragon-like beast was kept by the Crystalloids as a "guard dog" which guarded the Rubberoid hostages that were held prisoner in the Crystalloid Compound on the dark side of the planetoid.
