Earth-1B was an unofficial designation of the universe that the third volume of the Super Powers series takes place in.

Crisis on Infinite Earths: The Compendium formally established that Super Powers volumes 1, 2 and 3 as well as the Super Powers Collection all happened on Earth-Thirty-Two

Although not exactly the same as Earth-1A, both Earth-1A and Earth-Thirty-Two share many similarities.

List of similarities

  • In both universes the Justice League are referred to as the Super Powers Team.
  • In both universes the Super Powers Team's headquarters is the Hall of Justice. (Note: On Earth-One, there never was a Hall of Justice)
  • Robin is a member of the team on both earths, whereas on Earth-One, he's only part of the Teen Titans, and he was known as Nightwing at that point.
  • Samurai exists in this reality as well as on Earth-1A. There has yet to be any indication of Samurai existing in any other reality within the DC multiverse, except for Earth-96 (which was a hypertime reality) and Earth-22. (which is part of the new 52 Earth Multiverse.)

List of dissimilarities

  • On Earth-Thirty-Two, Samurai becomes a superhero in 1986, while on Earth-1A, he had been one since at least 1977.
  • The characters of Golden Pharaoh and Cyclotron appear to be exclusive to this reality, and have no known counterparts on Earth-1A.
