Point Gander is best described as "a grim forbidding stretch of seacoast."^[2] In 1968, Professor Hillbrand dives in the saltwater off Point Gander, and it is believed that he was killed.

In 1973, Batman, Robin and Aquaman return there to investigate his supposed death, because they are lead to believe that he may still be alive.
