Poseidon (Greek: Ποσειδῶν; Latin: Neptūnus) was the god of the sea and of earthquakes in Greek mythology. Poseidonis, the capitol city of Atlantis, was named after him.
In Roman mythology, his avatar was referred to as Neptune.
A statue of Poseidon was seen at the Gotham City Museum, getting entangled by a giant plant.[1]
Aquaman once encountered what he thought was a killer whale, but upon touching it, he realized it was actually made of FRERP, a special type of plastic. Upon noticing this he says: "By the beard of Poseidon."[2]
