The Psions are an alien race of of humanoid reptiles that live somewhere near the Vega star system. They are well known for being scientists of an immoral nature, often times using sentient lifeforms as their lab rats, even if it results in their deaths. Their main interest is in the advancement of science, no matter who they have to kill to get it.

The Psions helped the Dealmaker with a scientific process to convert humans into food to make him immortal. Among the humans about to be converted into food was Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Rick Wolfman and Wilkerson. The Psions would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for Superman.
