Based on the Arabian Knights, the Wonder-Twins discover a magic lamp which houses a powerful genie who captures them and returns to the planet Zaghdad. The Super Friends journey to the planet to rescue them. For a change, Wonder Woman uses her power, "the beauty of Aphrodite" to distract the evil 'Thief of Zaghdad' with a harem dance while Aquaman gets the lamp. Unfortunately his 'fishy fingers' blunder the job and it's up to the other Super Friends to set things right.
Continuity in Other Media
This episode contains many references to current political issues of the day. The main villain, Kareem Azar, was clearly drawn to resemble the Ayatollah Khomeini, and the planet 'Zaghdad' is a similarly obvious reference to the city of Baghdad in Iraq.
