A model of the Sol system

The Sol system was a solar system in the Milky Way Galaxy.

All celestial objects within the system orbit around "Sol" more commonly referred to as the Sun.

After Jor-El discovered the sol system with his telescope, he decided not to bother exploring the Arcto star system, because Earth, the third planet in the solar system, was far more suitable for his people to colonize.
