Strength

Superman demonstrates his Superhuman strength.[1]

Physical strength is the ability of a human or animal to exert force on physical objects using muscles. Increasing physical strength is the goal of strength training. Superhuman Strength is strength beyond that of a normal human. Some Metahumans and aliens possess super strength. Also, some people who use drugs that are steroids, such as Bane, also possess such super strength. Too, characters such as Metallo or Cyborg, or other characters with cybernetic enhancements also may have superhuman strength.

The word strength is also sometimes used to describe the toughness of certain objects. For example, Superman is often called the Man of Steel, because he has strength like steel (actually stronger).

It can also be used to refer to a person of good character (strength of character), as well as a person's inner strength, or his will power.

The Super Friends taught Marvin and Wendy that brain power is superior to brute strength.[2]

  1. As seen in Too Hot to Handle.
  2. .As seen in The Menace of the White Dwarf.
  3. This is just conjecture. We can assume that his strength is at least close to class 100, but not quite, since he's normally only a match for Superman when he's using his Green Kryptonite heart.
