Vega is a star that is the primary body of the Vega star system. It is about twenty-six light years from Earth, in the constellation of Lyra. There are at least twenty-two worlds that orbit the star, most of which are inhabited by intelligent life. Circling the star is a ring that stretches somewhere between 600 million to 2 billion miles from it, which is called the "Ring of Life," or "X'Hal's Crown," a seemingly murky, almost continuous ring of matter. The ring is made up of asteroids, dust, moons and the twenty-two planets.
